About
We offer a group-based model of prenatal care. Instead of seeing a doctor or midwife individually, women participating in our centering pregnancy care attend regular, provider-led group meetings. These meetings are designed to address all aspects of wellness during pregnancy, not just your physical health. Participants benefit from social support and experience increased learning, thereby enhancing intervention effects. Furthermore, Centering patients are engaged in their own care, and this results in more activated and collaborative partnerships. Research shows that centering pregnancy groups are associated with lower odds of both preterm birth and intensive utilization of care. Our Centering pregnancy group meetings comprise of the three components of care: health assessment, interactive learning, and community building. If you think you’d like to give centering pregnancy a try, please sign up (here) for the next available cohort.
